Happy Halloween!

To the Batmobile!!!...er...I mean...to the stroller!!

Mom! You're not supposed to reveal my secret Bruce Wayne Identity!!

Reveal MY secret identity and there will be consequences!

(Later, back at the Batcave, Robin reveals how he really feels about his mask...)

Earlier that day...Mason learns today is Halloween and is preparing to be scared

Ethan looks fear right in the eyes and tells it who's boss (with Elmo by his side)

The boys get dressed in their Halloween outfits (thank you Nancy!) and prepare for the day ahead. Ethan checks to make sure Mason's bib is on straight.

Mason practicing his scared face again

We decided to go scare up some deals at Costco...but were nearly frightened to death by the lack of parking, the crowds, and the long checkout lines.

Mason showing off his cute Halloween onesie

Ethan makes it impossible for me to get a photo of his toothy grin, but looks like I outsmarted him. If you click on this image to make it larger you can see those 2 bottom front teeth in this one!

The many goofy faces of Ethan

Just horsin' around

Happy Halloween!

6 Month Stats

Today we had our 6 month check up and here are our latest numbers:

Mason
Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz (80%)
Height: 27 1/2 inches (80%)*
Head Circumference: 46.2cm (100%)**

Ethan:
Weight: 17 lbs 7 oz (50%)
Height: 26 1/4 inches (50%)
Head Circumference: 44.5cm (70%)

*At the 4 month checkup they measured him an inch too long - I know this because we were in the office a month ago and he was only 26 1/2 inches and I as pretty sure he didn't shrink by an inch in 1 month!
**I think the nurse did this one wrong too and I am pretty sure the doctor got a smaller measurement once he got the measuring tape in the right place, though I forgot to ask the number, but hey, lots of brains is not a problem!

Rolling All Around & Trying to Crawl...??

This weekend Ethan started rolling over a lot more than usual and this morning he was EVERYWHERE! Couldn't stop rolling all day in fact! And he actually allowed me to get some of it on video. He's ready to go after his brother and Mason better watch out because Ethan has those teeth and he is not afraid to use them!

Ha ha mom, you really thought I was going to roll for the camera didn't you?

Okay Ethan, this is how it's done - just follow my lead!

Now I have skills to really go after that yellow block

Still trying to get that darn yellow block

Mason apparently sensed that this was coming and is working on an even quicker getaway - he has started pushing up onto his hands and knees and doing a little rocking back and forth (see the end of this clip). You can also see his favorite superman pose a few times here - he does that often. Oh man, this kid is going to be into everything in no time!

And here's another one of Mason just trying to figure out an escape from his blue mat prison

Our 1st Babysitters & Fun in Our Jammies

Here we are with our very first babysitters, Mike and Ellamay, when we were only 4 days old! They took care of us while mom and dad got a nap, because apparently we tired them out (though I don't know how - I mean, we're not exhausting at all!)

And here we are with our favorite babysitters again at 6 months - hmmm... I think maybe we've changed just a little bit since then?

More Pumpkins!

Fun in the morning at the hotel

Playing around with our friends

Because there is no such thing as too many visits to pumpkin patches when it's October...

Um...somebody get me down from here please?

Oh how I love these pumpkins!

Mom? What's this thing you're trying to pose me next to? It kinda smells

Now this looks like a fun toy!

Feeding and diapering in the car - way more fun than at home!

6 Months Old - and a Road Trip!

Today the boys turned 6 months old and we took a big road trip to visit friends in Oklahoma. We had a great time and the boys did very well with all of the here, there and everywhere.

Here they are in their car outfits that 2B got for them. We thought they were appropriate for the road trip.

We went out for a bite to eat and had some fun goofing around!

All I Want For Christmas is...

...my 2 front teeth! Apparently Santa delivered the goods early because Ethan has got them! At least he has his 2 front bottom teeth now - that 2nd tooth decided to show itself today!

I still have to try to get a good picture of his toothy grin because whenever I go to take a picture he will stick his tongue out and cover it up or blow a raspberry at me and drool everywhere.

Easy Street

Now that we are both feeding ourselves, what are mom and dad going to do with all their new-found free time? (hahaha, just kidding guys) :)

**Note from mom: They really did actually feed themselves their own bottles today - they dropped them a few times, but that was it! Actually I had to pry the bottles out of their vice grips when it was time to burp - then back they went to the task at hand! As you can see by their expressions they were very serious about this new responsibility :)

Practice Makes Perfect

We have been practicing sitting up by ourselves and wanted to show off what we've got so far. At any given time there can be a baby sitting all by himself for up to about 30 seconds before losing his balance and toppling over. This evening Mason sat up long enough for me to get to the next room and grab the camera and still take pictures - so I think he made it to a whole minute at least!

Geez, what took you so long to get that camera? You know I'm doing cool stuff here and you're missing it. You better keep that camera handy - I'm a constant photo op.

Look Ma! No hands!!

I have SO got this whole sitting up thing going on - I mean just look at me!

I can even do this one-handed! I mean really, where'd the challenge go?

Your job of feeding me is over - I can take it from here.

I would just like to announce that the yellow block is my favorite. That is all. Carry on.
