Here are a few photos of the boys in their play yard, in the yard! And maybe one day, if we stop drooling excessively and barfing, you might see some photos of us without bibs - and actually see what our clothes look like! Won't that be fun?!

Yard Work
Our yard is pathetic at the moment and today was a gorgeous day, so Brett decided to battle the weeds. The boys decided to help him out. But the pack-n-play proved itself capable of containing only a certain level of fun, so I put a blanket out on the grass. And we found out quickly that a blanket is also only capable of containing a certain level of fun when the fun is completely mobile. And we deemed the super yard too much work to set up just then. After they both tried to eat handfuls of dead grass, we decided it was time to wrap it up and we headed for the swings at the playground across the street instead. The swings were able to contain just the right amount of fun!

10 Months! and SNOW DAY!!
The boys are 10 months old today! They are doing all kinds of things at this point: crawling like crazy, standing up all over the place by themselves, feeding themselves all of their bottles, and they love drinking water out of their cups!

Here is a video of Ethan trying to get into things (per usual) and the boys teaming up on their super seats:
And to mark this special occasion we got SNOW! This real actual white stuff is not often seen in Texas (which is A-OK by me)! Obviously it won't accumulate much here, but it snowed all day long and by the end it was enough that, when driving around the neighborhood, there was a snowman in pretty much every yard :) So we figured why not since Brett's office closed early (due to the weather - yes, you up North can laugh now) and we didn't get proper snow photos of the boys when they were up North. We squeezed them into some snowsuits we had bought second-hand that are really too small at this point, and hauled them outside. The general concensus was, this was NOT fun (though I managed to get a few smiles). It had a lot to do with the uncomfortable snowsuits, but Mason is definitely not a fan of cold weather. He shivers and his "teeth" chatter like crazy just getting out of the bathtub every night!

Ethan Crib Standing
Ethan has been released from his safe-T-strap. He has used this for the past 6 months while his crib mattress was on a pretty steep incline because of his acid reflux. It helped a ton! But, he has shown us recently that he is VERY done with it. It velcros around the waist and has a strap that comes up through his legs, so it's much like the shape of a diaper that goes over his pajamas. He has been picking at the velcro for a few weeks now and has even pulled it apart a few times, but a few days ago he actually crawled his way out of it completely - all velcro still in tact and I found him crying at the bottom end of his bed, unsure of what to do with himself and not wanting to get back in the strap. Since then we removed the strap completely and lowered his mattress to a gradual incline only and he has done wonderfully! I heard him in there last night making noises as though he was stretching out and saying "ahhhhhh, the freedom!". We have had many successful sleeps since then (even with the current cold he has) and are delighted to put the strap away finally!
But without the strap he has been having tons of fun figuring out what he can do in his crib and this morning he was fully standing and using the crib rail for a teether (thankfully we have plastic covering all sides for this purpose so he doesn't eat paint.) But it was so funny going in there and seeing him standing up like that in the crib and alternating between biting his crib and chatting with Mason. Mason has not yet stood up in his crib (that we have seen!) but it won't be long! Good thing we lowered the cribs before all of this started!
