New Deck

The boys enjoying the new deck!  They love to run back and forth between the benches and up and down the stairs.  Lots of fun ahead on this new play surface.

1st Film in a Movie Theater - Cars 2

Today we went to see Disney/Pixar Cars 2 on the big screen. We made it a whole 40 minutes before we had to leave...but good attempt for our very first film in a real movie theater.

Bouncy Bouncy (Videos)

I hit a great deal a few months back for toddler trampolines and so we decided to get them for the boys for their birthday. But then we decided they had enough fun things to play with and we would save these for when it got really hot outside and we needed something fun to do in the A/C...

Our house now looks like the inside of a Chuck E Cheese, but oh well, whatever keeps them entertained...and tires them out :)

ETHAN
Ethan was first to wake up from nap so he was first to go get his jump on. The first clip is not so much jumping, it's just funny. In the second clip he is trying to recite Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while bouncing (if you are familiar with that one - that is one of their favorite alphabet books). And in the third clip he is doing some jumping and some chattering.








MASON
In the first clip he starts jumping for the first time without holding on. That's our Mason, always the daredevil. In the second clip Mason thinks the trampoline is a "boingy chair" and tell us "you guys are so silly" (though I think we know that since we bought 2 toddler trampolines that take up half our living room...I'd call us silly too.) By the third video he was a bouncing machine.

1st Swim Class (Videos)

The boys took swim lessons in the first part of June (every weeknight for 2 weeks straight at our neighborhood pool). Auntie Meghan was here for their first 3 classes so she took some videos from their first class on her phone and put it on Youtube for us. By the end of the 2 weeks (sorry no videos at the end since Brett and I were both in the pool!) they were both jumping in the water and would let us drop them in to touch the bottom and would retrieve diving rings (with our help to guide them underwater because they can't REALLY swim yet, they just learned to be really comfortable going underwater).

Father's Day 2011

Breakfast out and a visit to the new local Splash Pad! What a day!!

The photo is from breakfast while we waited for our table to be ready. A musician sat down near us shortly after this photo. He was playing the guitar and Mason and Ethan got up to do some dancing. I gave them each $1 to put in his guitar case. Ethan tried to put his in the case but the wind came along so I caught it and I put it in the case for him. Mason went to hand over his $1 and thought it would be safer if he put it in the musician's glass of iced coffee...at least the musician thought it was hilarious!

Auntie Meghan visit

Our visit with Auntie Meghan was wonderful and the boys cried when she left - they had such a good time with her. Good thing we get to see her again next month! :)

Happy Birthday Mama!

I got to have my dear friend Meghan visit for my birthday this year and we got to escape after the boys went to bed for some chocolate fondue, champagne and a movie! I had a great birthday!

And after singing Happy Birthday to Dada for 2 straight weeks, the boys were able to switch it up and sing Happy Birthday to Mama :)
