New Winter Coats
It's about 95 degrees out there, but if you don't buy your winter gear now you will be out of luck, so we are trying on our new coats to make sure they fit right, just in case we get some cold weather here. It's been known to happen once in a while.

Espanol
Part of the Preschool curriculum at the boys' school is Spanish class once a week. These classes just started at the beginning of September, so they have only had one class a week for a few weeks, but they are already counting in Spanish. And when we leave school they say "Adios Amigos!"
I have a love/hate relationship with this age. The tantrums are nuts, but the fact that they are just like little learning sponges is so awesome :)

Puzzles & Bead Mazes
Mason is a huge fan of puzzles - and yes the puzzle in the photos below...he put that together all by himself. Two of his favorite things combined - letters and puzzles. And Ethan loves the bead mazes. One of his favorites aside from cars and trucks.

Green Eggs and Beans
Hanging out on the toilet is now the most favorite place to read books.
The current bathroom book favorites are:
The Potty Book for Boys (we just love Henry and his potty!)
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss (or as Mason calls it "Green Eggs and Beans"...no idea why
I Am Not Going To Get Up Today! by Dr. Seuss
Oh, Say Can You Say Di-no-saur? by Dr. Seuss
We're on a Dr. Seuss kick...

Mason's big boy underwear!
Today when I picked Mason up from school his teacher said "I think it's time"...time to try out underwear with Mason. He has been staying dry all morning in between his requests to potty, so she thinks he's ready for the big step. And I don't disagree because before I put him down for nap today he went #1 and #2 and stayed dry during nap, then stayed dry all afternoon and until bedtime.
Grandma and I took him to Target and he got to pick out his first big boy underwear. He really couldn't make up his mind, as there were so many choices, but finally settled on: Mickey Mouse, Thomas, Go Diego Go, and SuperWhy. He got to wear a new pair of Mickey underwear tonight and Mickey never got wet :) Though we are still using overnight pull-ups with him, we are going to give this whole underwear thing a shot because he really seems to want to do this, so I guess we should stop resisting and go with it!!
Go Mason!!!

Little Men
The boys' preschool teacher loves to see my reaction every time she tells me about something new the boys are doing at school. Today I picked them up and she informed me that now (less than 2 weeks later) they are both standing up to pee-pee on the potty. She said, if you want to see, Ethan can show you. "Hey, Ethan, you want to show mama how you pee-pee standing up?" He walks right over to the potty, waits for his diaper to be dropped, steps up on the little step stool, and let's the pee-pee fly! And I must say he has some pretty good aim! Mason and Ethan both proceeded to go pee-pee standing up that afternoon at home!
And Mason has already gone poopy on the "big" potty 4 times now! I just hope they can both keep it up....
