Future Attorney

Mason has taken to arguing everything and anything he feels passionate about. We told him that on the traffic lights, green means go, red means stop and yellow means slow down. Every time we say it, he will come back with "No, green means go, red means stop and ORANGE means slow down." I gave him a paper plate with dinner tonight because the dishwasher was full. The paper plate was a turtle, but at first glance I thought it was a frog. I had told him it was a frog initially and then said "Mason, it's a turtle, Mommy was wrong" and he said "no, it's a frog" and I said "actually, it's really a turtle" and he said, "NO, ACTUALLY it's a frog." Yikes.

Spanish Email

Mason loves his "laptop computer" which is a Scholastic bilingual (English/Spanish) laptop.  He calls it his "Spanish Email" and likes to spend time with his laptop anywhere...even upside-down in a plastic bin.

Chinese Dragon Dancers

We visited one of the local libraries to see Chinese Dragon Dancers perform for the Chinese New Year. The boys had so much fun clapping, dancing, and stomping their feet to the drum beats.

Sharing Snacks

Another gorgeous and warm day in January - we'll take it!  Shades and short sleeve shirts are on.  It is snack time on the deck.  And apparently today we are all about sharing...

The future is so bright

Just another January day - it's so sunny we have to wear our shades!

Cereal lover

Ethan has turned into a serious cereal lover. When asked if he wants french toast, waffles, pancakes, or cereal, 9 times out of 10 he says he wants a bowl of cereal. And specifically, he wants Mama's cereal (Speak K with red berries). Mason is not as much of a fan and as he said "Cereal makes me COLD!"

Ethan's 1st Potty Success

Ethan knows how to pee-pee in the potty and has gone on several occasions, but he has never told us he has had to go. But tonight, for the first time he told us when we were getting him ready for bed and he actually did have to go and went! Tiny steps, but in a very good direction!! Hopefully the interest will pick up more and more as he gets closer to 3. I can hope anyway!
