I Am Speed

Speed...I am Speed. Our new favorite saying (though we still can't say it very clearly). Thank you so much Disney/Pixar for that one. And for putting it in this racing toy. So we can hear it over and over and over again :)







I think he's calculating the trajectory for both cars to finish at the same time...or he's just looking at the plastic cars spinning around the tracks...yeah, probably the latter.

More early birthday presents

Gma and Gpa busted out some more early birthday gifts this morning. New jammies! And a great new wooden puzzle!

Happy Birthday Cake (with Gma and Gpa)

Notice the switch to white cake cupcakes from chocolate. I make it a point to never say I dislike any kind of food in front of them, including chocolate cake, but I guess this is a case of genetics (gone bad). We will have to work on this one because otherwise they are going to miss out on so many birthday cakes at other kids' parties since a kid who doesn't like chocolate cake is pretty rare!

Wildflowers

Wildflowers have been pretty sparse this year. Not enough rain means not enough pretty flowers. So we went to the one place where they usually have some wildflowers, The Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. We managed to see some pretty ones, but there wasn't too much cooperation with picture taking today, so we only have a few photos and not many with actual flowers!
