Up on the Housetop
Our current favorite Christmas Carol...
Mason was being a little whiny in the beginning of this one, but how could this song not put you in a good mood? So by the end of those 30 seconds, he's smiling :)

Elf On The Shelf
Our Elf on the Shelf made his first appearance this year! We read his book and the boys promptly assigned him the name "Teeny Weeny Elf."
The next morning the boys found him sitting on one of the reindeer on the fireplace mantle. The day after, he was napping in between the shadow boxes of our wedding pictures in the hall. And the day after that he got stuck in the window blinds on his re-entry to the house. After Ethan got over his initial fear of the elf on the first night, they have had a lot of fun finding his new place each morning!

We are gearing up for Christmas! The tree is up, the stockings are hung and the front yard decorations are in place. The boys could not be more in love with all of it!

Thanksgiving to remember
We had more excitement than we had planned for this Thanksgiving. At lunch Brett was snacking on mixed nuts and the boys asked to try some. He broke up pieces of a cashew for them to try. The moment they put them in their mouths they were screaming and clawing at their faces. Hives began to appear and Ethan said "my tongue hurts!!" We packed things up quickly and got them in the car and to the E.R. quickly. They had simultaneous allergic reactions. So scary!
We will be taking them to an allergist to determine the specifics of what they are allergic to. It was so scary to see them react that way and I know they were two very scared little boys. It took the nurse 3 times to get Ethan's IV started, poor guy :( Once they both had meds for a few hours we went home and then Ethan broke out into a ton of huge hives all over his backside, legs, some on his feet and arms and tummy. It took a dose of Benadryl every 4 hours, 6 times to get everything to calm down for him. We think Mason did not ingest as much of the cashews or he just has a lesser reaction to it, but his reaction was still bad as well.

Tati Visit
We had a great visit from Tati! Went to the Cedar Rock Railroad for the first time to ride the train and spent some time showing him what we can do on the new playset!
