Fridge Phonics

We have a stainless steel front fridge, which means no magnets :( But I found these round disks at Ikea that can be mounted on the wall and now we can use magnets in our play room and can hold up our fun new leapfrog toys (thank you 2B!).

We are serious about our letters and can now read lower case as well. And thanks to our trusty fridge phonics (and mommy and daddy sounding like idiots making the letter sounds), we now can say more than half of our letter sounds!

The first word that Ethan spelled on the magnetic word builder?... g.o.p.

Trying to voice his political opinions already?

  1. Those magnet boards are adorable! I think I will have to get some of those for the playroom next time I venture out to IKEA. This looks SOOO much better than having 50 million magnets on my refrigerator!! :)

I am loving your blog! Your boys remind me a lot of my boys and the things we are experiencing. I loved your story about Ethan asking Mason if he was OK at the park! Isn't it neat that they have such a great bond with each other?
