1st dentist appointment very great for Mason, and not quite so great for Ethan. Ethan LOVED that he got to watch cars in the dentist chair, but did not love when the dentist actually had the nerve to try to look in his mouth. The dentist got to do just about everything he wanted to with Mason's exam, but Ethan was a tough cookie and squeaked by with the bare minimum. We of course learned (no surprise) that Ethan has teeth that are very close together and will require lots of flossing and will likely be more prone to decay - so of course that would happen for the child who will be the more difficult dental patient. While Mason has teeth that are so separated in the back that the dentist said he didn't even need to floss back there yet, just the front teeth. And of course he's the one who is more cooperative when it comes to teeth brushing...
Unfortunately I do not have any pictures from this first visit because it was a little too chaotic, but I am hoping to get some next time.
