And....back to diapers we go

After essentially 2 months of being potty-trained, Mason has regressed big time. Telling people he has to go potty is not cool anymore, nor is taking the time out to use the bathroom. I am not surprised because he was so young, and I really didn't want to attempt this before they turned 3 because I figured it would be an exercise in frustration. But 2 months is a long time to be doing it so I thought maybe I lucked out. Hahaha - that was funny. So I'm not letting him doing it halfway - it's all the way or nothing, so we are going back to diapers tomorrow. No potty allowed. He will not be happy about that because he loves to use the potty in public restrooms, but after several days of (intentional) "accidents" - and even at school, we are backing it up and he's being demoted from his big boy status. Check back in 6 months for more on this topic... :)

School Costume Parade

The boys had a school costume parade and pumpkin patch (i.e. they got to choose a pumpkin from outside and decorate it). I stayed for a little bit that morning to snap some photos before heading home.

1st Dentist Appointment

1st dentist appointment very great for Mason, and not quite so great for Ethan. Ethan LOVED that he got to watch cars in the dentist chair, but did not love when the dentist actually had the nerve to try to look in his mouth. The dentist got to do just about everything he wanted to with Mason's exam, but Ethan was a tough cookie and squeaked by with the bare minimum. We of course learned (no surprise) that Ethan has teeth that are very close together and will require lots of flossing and will likely be more prone to decay - so of course that would happen for the child who will be the more difficult dental patient. While Mason has teeth that are so separated in the back that the dentist said he didn't even need to floss back there yet, just the front teeth. And of course he's the one who is more cooperative when it comes to teeth brushing...

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures from this first visit because it was a little too chaotic, but I am hoping to get some next time.

New Winter Coats

It's about 95 degrees out there, but if you don't buy your winter gear now you will be out of luck, so we are trying on our new coats to make sure they fit right, just in case we get some cold weather here.  It's been known to happen once in a while.
